This intense thriller will immerse viewers in the corrupt world of New York art, where perfectly slender and fragile women who wear clothes from city fashion shows and speak with accents, sell art on the black market. In this dark environment, the lives and fates of three unusual characters intersect. The film is in three parts, but the separate worlds of art, black market trading, film and mafia empires intertwine, complicating everything with the plot of the romantic relationship. The first of the characters is the brilliant artist Michael Rubino (Emil Hirsch), who was forced to become a gangster. We meet him in one of the very first scenes of the film, during the process of creating a new picture.
Michael came up with a new technique for creating paintings - he sprinkles red paint on a white canvas and shoots at it from close range. This clearly innovative style of painting is different from what it has created in the past. This abstract art by Michael prepares us for many of the bloody events in the film, especially after the artist becomes the boss of the mafia. The second of the characters is the counterfeiter and art dealer John Kaplan (Jonathan Rhys Myers), who is about to open his own gallery, and when Andy Warhol's famous and highly coveted painting "Pink Marilyn" comes to the surface, he sets out to get it. However, this painting also attracts the attention of the art-loving gangster Michael.
These two characters are willing to do whatever it takes to acquire this priceless piece of art on the black market. The third character is the elderly Inspector Shako (Fortunato Cerlino), who is involved in this criminal case and suffers from a neurological disorder. This is his last business, and then he will safely retire. In pursuit of the rarity, all three will go to the night streets of New York, where there will be a lot of glamor, shootings, dead bodies, seduction, violence and blood.
